Weekend Over All Ready....

It was a pretty good weekend I would say.

Yesterday I headed to my friend Lisa's wedding. Heidi was kind enough to pick me up on the way and we arrived and were lucky to get FREE parking!

The wedding theme was Black and White and everyone dressed appropriately and looked great. The wedding was at a cool old hotel in Vancouver called the Sylvia Hotel. During the ceremony the beach and water was our backdrop. You can't beat that! The bride and groom looked great although the groom gave me the gears for missing the receiving line (totally have no idea when this went on - too much wine? Hope not!)

I totally forgot my camera!

Heidi's hubby said he's going to start a band called "Robin's Return". It's based on my return to BC after 11 years in Winnipeg. It's funny, eventhough I never knew him before I moved back here and I've been back for almost three years (can I really say I came 'back' when I'm totally from Manitoba? No I don't think so), Heidi's hubby says "It's good that you moved back." That's nice....awh. Oh and he always exclaims "Rawbean's Rants!!" when he sees me eventhough that blog is long dead and he never read it or this one! Hehe....cracks me up though.

After the wedding, Heidi and I headed back to her van and a dead battery! I was just about to go into "game over" mode when the whole thing was resolved in about 10 minutes by the hotel staff (they had a 'system' and it worked!).

Today my nephew and sister in law came over. All I can say is....my nephew is so cute!

He was laughing all afternoon! And his laughing made me laugh. I couldn't handle it.

Yes that is a lot of wires in the background. And my dad even eliminated a long network cable the last time he was in town! And there isn't even a computer on that table! What the hell hey?

I also got a shot of Linus with the plush doll he inspired:

Can you handle it?

My friend Dave just called and said "I'm looking for someone to watch me eat dinner."

"I'm in!" I exclaimed.

Does that make me uncool? What would make me cool? Discuss.

That shot with the Linuses (Linai?) is so funny! He looks a bit put out. Is he jealous? Thomas is SO CUTE!!They make sleeve things for cords (IKEA?) that holds them all together. You are the coolest person I know. Don't worry about it.

Cute nephew and Linai (I like the above commentor's pluralization).

Watching a person eat dinner is the new eating dinner, I say.

Oh, and btw Joel's new album *is* a triple album and it's awesome. As is your mixed tape which I've been listening to. I think my faves are the song about being a ghost, the Phoenix song, and the Submarines song.

Oh, and yay! It's Bachelorette night. That's what's getting me through my day.

Ohmigod I can't handle this post. For a few reasons:
1. The picture of the Linus(es) made me laugh out loud. It echoed in my apartment.
2. We both used the term 'I can't handle it' in our posts about our weekends.
3. Did Dave seriously call you and ask that? That is so funny, I can't handle it!

chritielli - OMG we will all have to debrief tomorrow on the bachelorette. I'm stoked!

jabba - yea now that I think of it, he didn't ask if I had eaten. He probably just assumed...he was right!

heidi - thats how I role!

no, you're right, not cool, but you have other things going for you, like cool apartment and that you've met big ben and WIGSF.

it's also funny how excited big city people get about free parking. I know the feeling, I lived in SF for a few months.

The plush Linus reminds me of Brian from Family Guy (no I don't watch that show) but he's still super cute.

As for the last post on the Bachelorette, I enjoyed it as well but was surprised that there wasn't a broader spectrum of men IE most of them looked Caucasian..WTF??

I just checked, and I think the correct plural form of Linus is "Lini". Apologies.
