Then three other guy friends showed up and passed us (nice). After that we all kind of separated and suddenly the BCMC felt really difficult. It was hot (don't worry I had water) and I was tired. I had to stop and rest more than I would have liked.

At one point near the top, I was alone and I couldn't find the next orange BCMC tag on the tree. I looked and looked and nothing. I kind of knew I was close and roughly where the lodge was, but I was totally on another trail called the Simic Trail. I knew when I hit a ladder (laying down) that it was all wrong. In fact, my friends had a laugh about that when I got to the top as there is clearly no ladder on the BCMC.
We actually improved our time from last, but I think I wasted about 5-10 minutes on my alternate route! Damn!
Anyways I'm home early today as I worked on a vacation day on Monday and it's time to clean to get ready for the weekend!
Hope everyone has a good one!

So what you climb that bad boy (tee hee) is it all muddy like that? I'd be afraid of slipping and sliding all over the place.
Miss Ash - I just got that picture off the internet as I didn't take my camera yesterday! See I even gave credit (like you did you on your blog). Having said that it was muddy at the top!! I just stomped through it though as I wanted the damn hike to end!
You know what? When I'm in the lead I ALWAYS get lost on hikes. I can never find those little orange stickers.
Good work honey! I *always* get lost if and when I take the lead in hikes!
Cxx
I want to move there. (Not the forest/mountain. The city with access to it, where you live.) I could really get into that. I would get lost CONSTANTLY, though!
this.is.awesome.
