A Little Paint Makes a Big Difference

When I moved into my place, I immediately painted over the orange and peach that the previous owners had gone to town with in the living room - it was for the sake of my own sanity.

I left the apple green in the bathroom because the colour was tolerable, but I've used it a million times on work projects so it didn't actually feel fresh.

This weekend I decided to paint.

I even added a new fluffy white bath mat:

In other condo updates, I finally got some bar stools. I saw these exact stools at a tile showroom and liked them. When I turned them over to see where they were from and it said "Ikea" I was pretty stoked because it meant they would probably be within my budget:

Now people can sit and chat with me while I make them gourmet meals (which happens ALL the time):
